I was looking up a place called Cypress Lakes Gardens and noticed that you used to live there. I looked it up because my parents bought property when it first opened up and we camped along Rebecca Creek many times as a family. In fact my dad almost drowned at the rope swing in 1977. He was rescued by a friend after being under the water for several minutes before being found and dragged up the steep bank, blue and not breathing. Mouth to mouth revived him and it took what seemed like an eternity for the ambulance from New Braunfels to arrive. He lost his direction while spinning upside-down on the rope and somehow hit his head which knocked him out. He survived, although he was in the hospital a while. When moving from Houston to Johnson City in 1968, we lived there for over a month camping while our house was being readied to move in. We always wanted to build at our land at Cypress Lakes, but never did. My dad just sold his piece of property this year, which was kind of sad to me, as that place has sooo many memories. We used to love to go to the country club and swim at night in the pool and watch the moon and bats that used to fly around the light. I didn't have an email for you, and am not sure how this site works, but just thought your satalite picture of the property was interesting.
