Peanut Butter Fudge

2 cups sugar
3/4 cup milk
2 tbsp light-colored corn syrup
2/3 cup peanut butter
Line an 8x8x2-inch baking pan with foil or parchment paper and butter the
surface. Set aside. In a heavy 3-quart saucepan combine sugar, milk,
syrup and salt. Cook and stir over medium-high heat till soft ball stage.
Remove pan from heat. Add peanut butter and beat until smooth. Spread in
prepared pan. When firm, lift out and cut into 1-inch squares. Store in a
tightly covered container in the refrigerator.
Makes about 1 pound (64 pieces).
