Snickerdoodles

3/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 and 1/2 cups flour
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 egg
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda

Topping
cinnamon
sugar....   mix in a bowl so you can roll the dough balls in them

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Sift together dry
ingredients. Stir into butter mixture until well mixed.

Mix sugar and cinnamon topping in small bowl. Make dough into balls and
roll in cinnamon sugar.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 375 degrees F. on greased cookie sheets.
