Butsie (Indian cookies)

Recipe by: Norma Naranjo

1 lb. lard
6 eggs
1 3/4 c. sugar
2 t. baking powder
1/4 c. vanilla
7 c. flour

Mix ingredients and roll out dough to 1/4-inch thick. Sprinkle with
sugar and cinnamon to taste. Cut into squares and create designs by
slicing edges and curling strips into spirals. Bake until brown at 400
degrees. Recipes makes approximately six dozen cookies.
