Pumpkin Tea Bread

1/2 c. oil
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. solid pack pumpkin
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. chopped dates or raisins

Blend oil and sugars. Stir in eggs and pumpkin. Sift together dry
ingredients and add to pumpkin mixture. Mix well. Stir in nuts and dates.
Pour into a well greased and floured 2 pound coffee can. Put in crock pot,
turn to HIGH. Cover can with 4 or 5 paper towels and put lid on. Bake for 3
to 4 hours. Crockpots vary so check after 2 1/2 hours.
