Table of contents - Next topic
Each test case has a standard set of attributes:
- Name
- Description
- Folder (location in test planning)
- Prerequisites
- Execution Steps
- Expected results
- Creator
- Notes
- Date created
- Date last modified
- List of test sets with which the test case is associated
In addition, your Test Planner administrator can create custom list and text attributes to capture information unique to your project or your workflow. The Test Planner administrator can also specify whether a particular custom attribute requires a value or not.
The screen shot below shows the standard attributes, plus the following custom attributes for this project:
- 'Defect ID' - a text field that does not require a value
- 'Release implemented' - a list field that requires a value
- 'Test type' - a list field that requires a value
- 'Automation priority' - a list field that does not require a value
